Workplace Violence Prevention -
OSHA updates guidance for healthcare & social services



Nonprofits and social service agencies are susceptible to workplace violence. Everest National has contributed an interesting article on the subject. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported in 2013, over 23,000 significant injuries due to assaults in the workplace. Greater than 70 percent were in the healthcare and social service work settings. Healthcare and social service workers are almost four times more likely to be injured as a result of violence than the average private sector worker.
