David daniels
President and
Chief Operating Officer
David is a graduate from University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA where he majored in Finance and Marketing. He began his insurance career as an Underwriter with Crum & Forster in 1985 and soon thereafter worked in the financial department becoming Assistant Controller.
He joined Zurich-American in 1987 as a Field Underwriting and Marketing Officer. In 1990, David moved to Baltimore, MD as part of Zurich’s acquisition on The Maryland Insurance Group. There he held various Home Office positions including Marketing Director, Director of Field Support, Management and Agency Contracts, and Field Executive.
David moved to Sacramento in 1993 to become Senior Vice President and Division Manager of American Eagle Insurance Company. In 1997, George Hill, David, and Lenard Robinson acquired the property and casualty business from American Eagle and formed HDR Insurance Services. David was President and Chief Operating Officer. In 2008, HDR was acquired by NIF Group, Inc.
